The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic has once again made a return to the Liberty State Park in the New York metro area, and to celebrate this special occasion, Hublot has teamed up with the famed Champagne House to create a very special and unique timepiece, limited to just five models.
This is the 5th time that Veuve Clicquot and Hublot have teamed up to create a special timepiece. Now, the two brands have collaborated once again to create a timepiece exclusive to the New York City boutique, to honor the polo match that took place on June 3rd. For this polo match, Hublot once again acted as the main scoreboard sponsor and also the official timekeeper.
The Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic was unveiled during the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic match. This timepiece is based on the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon, which allows Hublot to have the creative outlet to be not only daring with this watch but also artistic in a minimalistic sense. The Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon comes in a 42mm case shaped to fit the wrist comfortably while also giving a larger presence on the wrist compared to the traditional circular dial.
The Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon made for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is a sure definition of art in the minimalistic sense. First off the case is matte black frosted carbon, while the case back is a Special-edition micro-blasted matte black carbon with sapphire crystal. The timepiece is presented in two strap options, either a black alligator with orange stitching or an full orange alligator strap. The black strap goes perfectly well with the overall appearance of the watch, with the orange stitching matching the orange details found on the dial.
Speaking of the dial, this limited edition timepiece comes with skeletonised dial showing the tourbillon at 6 o’clock, off-center dial at 3 o’clock, and the power reserve indicator at 8 o’clock. While the timepiece does have a very monochrome colour appearance, orange has been used sparingly on the hour indices and hands, and also on the 1 and 2 indications and hand on the power reserve indicator.
The movement powering this impressive timepiece is Hublot’s HUB6020 Power Reserve Skeleton Tourbillon Movement. Operating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21, 600 VpH), the movement can give out a staggering power reserve of 115 hours (or 5 days), all the while operating from a very minimal 183 components.

The Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic was created as the perfect combination of horology, sport and fashion, all the while celebrating the special partnership between Hublot and Veuve Clicquot. The timepiece will be limited to a production of only 5 units, which can only be purchased exclusively from the Hublot Boutique in New York.
